What Is The Average Penis Size?
Having an above or below average penis size is often a conversation which is entered into by men on a night out. However, if you unlike most, you will probably have absolutely no idea on the dimensions of the actual average penis - and therefore your reply when discussing the issue may be slightly off.
If you have watched a few blue movies in your time, you will have seen many men with large penises, proudly flaunting it to the audience. However, what you need to remember is that this is absolutely not a realistic view of the average penis size and society.
There is a reason why these people are considered for their role in the movie - and we're guessing that it's probably not because of their personality.
Forget What You Thought About Penis Size
Having just talked about pornography and the ideas that men can gain from watching such movies - it is important that you forget everything that you thought you knew about the average penis size.
The reality is that the average penis size is actually a lot smaller than people think. According to the World Health Organisation, the average penis size across society represents a bell curve shape with some people have in very small penises, most people having a moderately sized one, and then again a few people having a very large one.
So what is average? Take a look at the following statistics to find out:
- 20cm from base to tip of erect penis.
- 2.5 to 4cm in width when erect.
- 5 to 8 cm in circumference with erect (at the base).
Clarifications of Average Penis Size
Before you rush off to the bathroom to measure your own - you must understand what these measurements are actually calculating. For example, when we talk about the base to the type of erect penis, we are talking about the very starting point at the bottom of the penis where it connects to the scrotum - not to the pelvis.
Many people often make a mistake when measuring the penis - and in actual fact get a result which is smaller than their real size because of these errors in measuring.
Additionally, to measure the circumference, you need to measure it at the very base of the penis, between the point where it connects to the pelvis and the scrotum.
